Hi There!

My name is Lara Torrey and I am the owner and creator behind Macramama. I purchased a vintage macramé book from the 60’s a little over 9 years ago and taught myself the amazing art of Macramé and I’ve been hooked ever since! I am a wife, mother to 3 boys, full time student and macramé artist.

I love creating and teaching the art of macramé and if you’re here, it is likely because you have taken one of my workshops! After a lot of trial, error and research, I discovered my favorite rope at Knot & Rope Supply! If you have taken my workshops, you have used their 1/8” 3-ply cotton rope or their 3/16” 3-ply cotton rope, both are super soft, saturate dye really well and are great for all macramé projects!
